All of God’s Children is committed to supporting the City of the Children, (Ciudad De Los Ninos) in Matamoros Mexico. Years ago, John Shinsky (a local educator and former Spartan football player) shared his dream with us to build an orphanage from scratch. The orphanage would not only provide for the physical needs of the children it served, but also be a loving, safe environment where the kids could learn life skills and be able to give back to the community when ready.
Things started to pick up when a 17 acre parcel of land was donated for the orphanage project in Matamoros, Mexico not far from the Brownsville, Texas border. The building phase got under way as soon as funds and manpower allowed. For years, All of God’s Children supported John and his wife Cindy in seeing their dream become a reality. On September 5, 2009, The City of the Children officially opened!
Now that the orphanage is up and running All of God’s Children is committed to helping the orphanage expand its facilities to be able to house more children.
